Given that the cantaloupe of both species is a type of melon, the nutritional content and health benefits are the same.

However, the peel of the North American cantaloupe has a mesh appearance and a more subtle, less pronounced taste. Meanwhile, the European cantaloupe has a light green skin and a sweeter flesh.

  • Vitamin A: 2%

It is noteworthy that the nutritional compositions of musk varieties are very similar. However, cantaloupe contains significantly more vitamin A and vitamin C than honey melon. It also contains less calories and carbohydrates and a little more fiber.

Cantaloupes are filled with vitamins and minerals. Cantaloupe contains more vitamins A and C than a honey variety, but otherwise the two types of cantaloupe are similar in nutritional value.

Health benefits of melon

Melon is very nutritious and has been associated with impressive health benefits.
